About
Hi. My name is Kristen.
I am an Independently Licensed Social Worker with a supervisory designation by the State of Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. I also am an Independently Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board. I received my Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Toledo and my Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University.
I specialize in working with individuals who suffer from addiction and substance abuse, as well as assisting individuals manage or overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma and stress. Along with individual therapy I also offer couples and marriage counseling. Depending on your preferences, I also can provide faith-based counseling and love to do so!
I strive to live above reproach, that I might be an example. I prioritize quiet time with God every morning in order to be as full of His love and light as possible to empower me to encourage and show God’s love and grace to my clients. I also prioritize spending time in the Word to know biblical truths, striving to understand scripture more each day. We are always learning and growing. He will continue to mold us and transform our hearts and minds to be more in His likeness. Iron sharpens iron and that’s what I hope to be for you. I pray that God uses our therapeutic relationship to draw us closer to Him and that as you do, that your lifestyle and thought life are more in alignment with His will. God places people in our life for a reason, often times to help us through a difficult season or to challenge us and teach us something. One of the benefits of faith-based therapy is we help each other. God’s always working. He has good plans for you and loves you.
